Hello! Autumn is slowly changing the land around me into a faded green dipped in gold, an echo of what the next few months will bring. The sun has been gorgeous here, making everything in our little garden sparkle in the morning light.
It is quite overgrown here, but in the past couple of days big renovations have been made, and hopefully it'll be quite lovely come spring!
Black-eyed Susans greeting the sunlight in their matching shades of gold.
Such an ethereal moment to witness.
Sparkling like thousands of little stars scattered over a green sky.
The next photos were taken on moody afternoons, in the heat of daytime.
She was the last of her kin on this bush for a while.
Old shells and rocks, from Lake Erie or possibly the Atlantic Ocean - sadly I cannot attach which memories belong to them.
The most gorgeous display of goldenrod and a spider's web scattered with water droplets after a rainfall.
The sedum grows pinker every day!
I absolutely love the color of these wildflowers.
The 'fuzzy caterpillar plants' as I have called them, that didn't want to focus.
The texture on this plant almost looks like an elf's fishtail braid.
Like scraggly fingers that bloom little flowers from their fingertips.
These flowers are slowly dying out like a sparkler, as my dad called them.
The leaves are quickly being colored in with bright red and plum.
Reaching out towards the weakening sun.
Goldenrod covering the hill in a wild cloak of yellow.
How delicately beautiful these flowers are! They remind me of Arwen Undómiel, somehow.
In a way, the stems over the flower remind me of Hela's headdress in Thor: Ragnarok, except so full of life in contrast to her, the Goddess of Death.
The vines that had crawled their way up the bird feeder have now grown defeated and decayed, only leaving a boneless structure weak and brittle.
Thank you so much for getting down to the end, there was a lot more photos than I realized! :)
I wish you light and happiness wherever your own journeys take you.
